The Department of Computer Science came into existence with the introduction of Computer Science as one of the optional subjects at B.Sc. level in 2000. There are separate computer laboratories for UG courses. Every year, leading companies like TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra and many more visit the Department for the Campus Placement Drive.

UNDERGRADUATE INFRASTRUCTURE AND LEARNING RESOURCES

1. DEPARTMENTAL LIBRARY AND READING ROOM

Departmental library is equipped with 10 titles. These books are donated by various book publishers and Teaching staff of the department. Books are made available to the students and staff for reference purposes.

2. LABORATORIES

Ø One well equipped Computer Laboratories and Total carpet area is 927 sq. ft.

Ø There are 10 Computers in one laboratories.

Ø ØLab I - 10 - I4 machines connected in network, 01 LaserJet printers, 01 servers, stabilizer and multimedia facility.

Ø ØLab II - 10 – I3 machines connected in network, 01 LaserJet printers, 01 servers, stabilizer and multimedia facility.

Ø ØLab III - 10 – I7 machines connected in network, 01 LaserJet printers, 01 servers, stabilizer and multimedia facility.

3. LEASED LINE AND INTERNET

Ø Ø60 Mbps Leased line is installed.

Ø Ø01 LCD Projectors with Power Backup.

Ø ØPower Backup for Laboratories.

Ø ØTerminal and test examination, surprise tests and unit tests are introduced for continuous evaluation.

Ø ØThe students are exposed to Industrial tour organized by students under the guidance of teacher.

Ø ØFacility for effective conduct of Teaching learning.
